Dance Classes & Studio
पाइला नृत्यकला (Paila Nrityakala) is Groovies' dedicated dance studio brand in Bafal, Kathmandu. Bollywood, Cultural, Hip-Hop and Contemporary classes for every level, taught by some of Kathmandu's finest instructors in a space built for movement: sprung floors, mirrored walls, and a sound system that hits. The same floor is available to hire by the hour when classes aren't running — for rehearsals, choreography, or recording. Come find your rhythm.
What You Can Learn
Styles for
Every Mover
Cultural
Traditional Nepali folk and cultural forms, passed down and performed with pride on Groovies' own floor.
Hip-Hop
Grooves, foundations, and freestyle confidence, the heartbeat of street dance, built up from the basics.
Contemporary
Emotion meets motion. Fluid, expressive movement that teaches you to dance with intention, not just steps.
Why Train Here
More Than
a Dance Floor
Groovies isn't only a dance school. It's a working production studio in Kathmandu. That means the floor you rehearse on is the same floor we shoot on, so your progress can become a reel, a showcase, or a full performance video whenever you're ready. Train in Bafal, surrounded by dancers, musicians, and storytellers who are all chasing the same thing: movement that means something.
Classes run by appointment and booking. Message us on WhatsApp for the current timetable and to reserve your spot.
Book The Floor
Hire The
Studio
Outside class hours the room is yours. Book the studio for rehearsals, choreography sessions, or recording — sprung floors, mirrored walls, and the same sound system the classes run on. Crews, soloists, and companies all use it, and because Groovies is a working production studio, a camera can be in the room the same day if you want the session filmed.
Rehearsal
Block out the floor for a crew run, an audition prep, or a solo practice session with room to actually move.
Choreography
Mirrored walls and a proper monitor setup, so you can build the piece and watch it back without leaving the room.
Recording
Shoot the routine where you rehearsed it. Lighting and camera handled in-house by the Groovies production team.
Rates are quoted per session. Message us on WhatsApp with the date and how long you need the floor.
